The Opening Game Pass Titles of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Remains Committed.

Everywhere you go, enthusiasts continue to ring the knell for Microsoft's gaming division. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a platform few have heard of. Platform-specific outlets began covering on PS5 topics for the first time. Last year proved to be an era of significant turmoil for the Xbox ecosystem. Yet, based exclusively on the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it is apparent that Microsoft remains determined to draw people in with strong games on its premier subscription.

The Available Now Titles

The duo of games currently accessible at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's truly noteworthy.

Upcoming Headline Games

On Jan. 13, the platform will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that deviates from the standard Ubisoft formula with a space-faring criminal escapade. Another big get is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "a superb mixture of horror and action."

Compelling Indie Titles

Yet, the less-hyped additions coming to Game Pass soon are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that's a blast to play, arrives January 7th — and it's worth experiencing regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.

The game set in a ruined Britain from last year may draw you in in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by Rebellion Developments, is another one to watch. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.

A Robust Selection of Games

Ultimately, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they don't represent tentpole Microsoft studios games that validate the subscription by themselves. Yet, this selection are very dependable. There's a good mixture of past releases that passed you by and relatively recent releases that lacked the recognition they were due initially — which makes them ideal prospects to get a second chance on Game Pass.

You might need to brace yourself to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
