David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Best-selling writer for children and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the company said: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was made after an investigation into claims about questionable actions involving women.
The publisher did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies globally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles in total, encompassing a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
From Screen to Page
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
